News & notes - 1/16/2012
We will be starting our Spring merit badges Tuesday. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm, as usual.
The next campout will be on February 4-5 at Camp Durant. We need to know who is going camping by next week (1/24).
There is a Norther Tier meeting at the regular scout meeting. Anyone going this summer should make plans to attend this meeting. Also the next payment of $216 is due at the meeting.
A reminder that Scout Sunday will be celebrated at Epworth UMC on February 12th. Everyone should make an effort to attend the 11:00am service to show our support for the parish.
Kevin Peterson will be collecting recharter money at the meeting. All adults listed on the roster will need to make sure that their Youth Protection training is up to date before I can turn in our charter. Money is due by 1/31/2012. The fees this year are $25 dues, $16 registration, and $12 for Boys' Life. Boys' Life is optional.

News & Notes - 1/9/2012
We will be having our regularly scheduled troop meeting on Tuesday 1/10. The meeting starts at 7:00pm.
This is a special meeting. We will be having some cub scouts visiting from Pack 486. Eli and Will have been working on a meeting plan so it is important for everyone to come out to this meeting. It would be good to get a few more cub scouts into the troop.
Also on Tuesday we will be talking about a new way to elect which merit badges you are going to be working on for the spring. You should come out and learn about this so that you can get into the merit badge class that you want.
There is a ski trip scheduled on January 16th. Please contact Zack McGinnis ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) for more information on this trip.
Next Tuesday there will be a meeting for everyone that is going to Northern Tier. The crews need to start getting their planning together for the summer. Also the next payment is due to Mr. Morris.
The next troop camping trip will be the weekend of February 4 and 5. The current plan is to go down to camp Durant on Saturday morning.
It is that time of year again and the troop needs to recharter. There is a compressed timeline this year and I have about five weeks to get all the paperwork done and submitted. The cost this year is going to be $16 for adults, $41 for Scouts, and add $12 for Boys' Life if you would like that.
The troop committee would like to emphasize that we want scouting to be available to all scouts. If the costs to register, camp, or participate in any troop activity is a hardship for your family, we encourage you to talk to Tim Shafer our Committee Chairman or Kevin Peterson. The troop has funds available to assist scouts and families with these costs.
Eagle Project Workdays - Kodjo Kumi
Kodjo will be having two Eagle Project workdays at Triangle Presbyterian Church on the 8th and 15th of January. Stay tuned for more information about when to be there and what to bring.
