ABOUT US

Troop 461 is a medium sized, boy led, outdoor oriented troop meeting at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (82 Kimberly Drive in Durham, NC).  The troop follows the tenants of the scout program to teach our young men leadership, outdoor skills, community involvement, and explore the numerous merit badge learning opportunites.  In support of our outdoor program, we try to have an outing every month, attend summer camp every year and have sent crews to Philmont, Northern Tier, and Seabase.  We meet every Tuesday during the school year starting at 7:00pm.

OUR HISTORY

Our Troop was founded in 1951, with 25 different Scout Masters and a deep history in Durham NC.  Over 115 boys have earned the rank of Eagle while participating in our Troop. Come see the plaques , maybe there is some one you know!
